Workshop for parents of BIPOC-Children

Children are also confronted with racism and parents may often recognize these experiences directly or indirectly.

This challenge raises many questions for parents of children who experience racism. “What exactly is racism and does my child experience it?” “What role does skin colour play in my child’s development?” “How can I be strong for my child?” “How can I support my child in developing a stronger self within a white society?” “How do I deal with people who are racist towards my child?” These and other questions will be analyzed during the workshop.

Participants learn to talk about racism and can exchange ideas about how they can accompany and support their children in the context of racism.

The workshops are offered within a safer space for BIPOC parents and as a learning space for white parents.
