My name is Jasmin Mouissi. For many years, my passion to live in a more united, peaceful, safer and empowering world drives me to think, research, write and teach about anti-racism, empowerment, criticism of power and critical whiteness.
I design and facilitate training and accompany processes on these crucial topics.
My work is grounded and guided by intersectionality. This means I am aware of the fact that there is multidimensionality in identities and dismantling racism and power structures requires needs-based collaborations.
I am a daughter, sister, mother, aunt, spouse and friend.
I was born and raised in Germany growing up in a multi-racial family with extensive close ties to both families, I am female, heteronormative and Black and biracial.
These are some of the categories that shape my indivdual perspective and view of the world and the issue of discrimination, as for over three decades I make personal, practical experiences with racism intertwined with other forms of structural discrimination.
I research and teach at Universities for many years. Furthermore, I got 15 years of practical work experience in the field of educational work.
Moreover, I don’t see my own learning as completed or finished but as a process and I continue to educate myself. For example through a Professional Training and collaboration with the expert Tupoka Ogette and her team that I have graduated.
My areas of work are diverse. They include: Corporate Sector, Theater and Music Industry, Federal and State Institutions, Educational and Academic Institutions, Foundations, NGO’s, Human Rights Organizations, Church Institutions, Welfare Organizations, Political Parties
Areas of Expertise and Research:
For many years I have been designing various events related to the topics of racism and empowement. Here you will get an insight into Workshops, Training, Seminars, Lectures and Consultations for different target groups that are part of my repertoire.
Basically I design safer spaces for people who experience racism, learning spaces for white people and spaces where people with different experiences meet and work together on a basis sensitive to discrimination.
All events can be executed in english or german language.
